I got a mid 2012 Macbook pro recently that didn't see the hard drive any more. Turns out a common failure points on these are the hard drive cables that connected the hard drive to the motherboard. Bought a replacement and it boots right up!

I now own a Lenovo yoga 2 pro and found #fedora to have better support for the touch screen than #linux #mint has. The last thing I want is for the auto screen rotation to work.

Played around with github.com/retronas/ret... this weekend. I found this after I already spend time figuring out how to create a SMBv1 share for OPL on my Synology. Currently running as a debian 12 LXC and working well.
