I watched THE APPRENTICE (2024), a biographical film about Trump, long before he would be president, and how he became the person he's known as. It's quite disturbing seeing how he was molded into what he became. It's brilliantly acted and I was hooked. Then you remember it's real.

I watched TRAGEDY GIRLS (2017). In an effort to gain more attention to their true crime social media outlet, two teenage girls take up the mantel of serial killing themselves after kidnapping another serial killer. This was a fun watch with a good cast and some cool kills.

That "I never thought the leopards would eat MY face!" tweet will always ring true lol

I played through THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: ECHOES OF WISDOM (2024) as @moldyclay.bsky.social watched on. I liked this game a lot! It was fun coming up with probably unintended ways to tackle obstacles with the various echoes. I'm glad I wore the stupid cat costume for basically my entire game.

I watched HELL OF A SUMMER (2023). A 24-year-old camp counsellor named Jason has trouble fitting in with his younger co-workers as he prepares to open a summer camp when a killer strikes. This was a horror-comedy and it was a fun time but had too many off-screen kills.

watched PILGRIM (2019). A family hires a pilgrim reenactment group to have an authentic Thanksgiving. But the actors take their job a little too seriously and may not be actors at all. I enjoyed this, mostly for the performance of the two main pilgrims and the main girl.

I watched SCARY MOVIE (2000) for the first time in the year of our lord 2025. Some jokes got me pretty good, I gotta admit. A lot of it has also aged like milk. As such a fan of the horror genre I have to enjoy it to a certain extent. I think we're gonna watch all these now.
November 14, 2025 at 2:45 AM
I watched WIND CHILL (2007) because I always like some winter based horror when I can find it. Two college students do a ride share going home for Christmas and end up stranded on a desolate road where they start getting tormented by spirits who died there. It was very okay! Some cheesy effects.

I beat SILENT HILL F (2025). Yes, I'm posting about it a second time because now I have truly, fully beaten it. Every ending and every trophy. The final boss on Lost in the Fog was STUPID hard but I pulled through. I loved this game. Among the original four as best in the series.

I watched FIRESTARTER (2022). Apparently everyone hated this lol. It was... fine? I dunno, it was whatever. Girl has the power to start fire and a corporation is after her. But John Carpenter did music for it and that was killer. I liked when she said "Liar, liar, pants on fire."

Obsessed with this scene in the forgotten 2010 horror movie "Chain Letter" in which the computer in Keith David's office just has this gibberish typed on it and no attention is brought to it by anyone.
November 11, 2025 at 11:18 PM
I watched CHAIN LETTER (2010) and boy was it a 2010 horror movie. You get a chain letter email and if you don't forward it to five people you DIE. This was trash but entertaining trash. I couldn't tell if the killer was supernatural or not and the motives made no sense.

I watched THE 50 WORST MOVIES EVER MADE (2004) and this "documentary" sucked. It was more like a WatchMojo video just rattling off 50 movies with little to no insight on how they were made. Some not even what they're about. Also, Spider Baby was on here somehow. Fuck you.

I've seen people worried if Yoshi is going to talk in the movie when he's talked before. And I don't just mean in the Super Mario World cartoon, I mean he's spoken in the games themselves.
November 10, 2025 at 4:49 AM
I watched WISH UPON (2017). A girl comes across an ancient Chinese music box that grants seven wishes but they come at a price. You probably already know where this is going from that description alone. It's not very good but the ending made me burst out laughing. Worth watching for that.
November 9, 2025 at 8:33 PM
I watched POPEYE THE SLAYER MAN (2025). As far as these "let's take this thing that became public domain and cash in on it with a horror" movies go it's not... the worst. But it's also not particularly good. But it does have some fun with the Popeye series with references.
November 9, 2025 at 6:23 AM
I watched WONKA (2023), the Willy Wonka origin movie. It was kind of cute and charming and had some funny moments but it's hard to think this Wonka is the very same that would become a psychopath that sends children to their doom. Also Hugh Grant was an Oompa Loompa.
November 8, 2025 at 6:47 AM
I watched SADAKO DX (2022), currently the latest Japanese film in the Ring franchise. This one is a horror comedy where an genius woman with a 200 IQ tries to debunk the cursed tape myth. Most of the comedy doesn't work but the end credits are a genuine delight. Had fun.
November 7, 2025 at 3:33 AM
I watched THE RAGE: CARRIE 2 (1999), the sequel that Carrie did not need. But, surprisingly, this movie's not that bad...? I mean, it's nowhere near as good as the original but it's pure 1999, for better or for worse, leading girl Rachel is a likable character. Worth watching.
November 7, 2025 at 12:43 AM
I watched MEGAN IS MISSING (2011), which marks off another one of the Letterboxd Bottom 250 for me. I don't really know what to say about this one. It's already an infamous movie and made me feel gross and uncomfortable but I guess that was the point. Just generally unpleasant.
November 6, 2025 at 9:32 PM
I watched THE FINAL GIRLS (2015). A girl and her friends somehow find themselves trapped in a Friday the 13th-like slasher and have to figure out how to survive and how to escape. It's held back a bit by it's PG-13 rating but this was a LOT of fun. Genuinely sweet and funny.
November 6, 2025 at 2:44 AM
I watched HELL HOUSE LLC: LINEAGE (2025). The first movie in this series to ditch the found footage style and, yeah, it just didn't work for me. I think this series as a whole just doesn't work for me. They had a decent first movie and it's fine to just watch that one. The clowns moved too much.
November 5, 2025 at 11:57 PM
I watched HELL HOUSE LLC III: LAKE OF FIRE (2019). I think this is the one where my suspension of disbelief left me when you have cloaked cultists flying out of a hell portal and killing people and the ground crumbling as a man wrestles a old man demon.
November 5, 2025 at 2:31 AM
I watched MATCH (2025) since I saw it's going to be the subject of the next Dead Meat Podcast. A woman is searching for her perfect match on dating apps and seemingly finds him. Only things aren't quite what they seem. This movie is fucking GROSS, man. I audibly gagged during it.
November 3, 2025 at 11:04 PM
I watched HELL HOUSE LLC II: THE ABADDON HOTEL (2018) because I started watching the new Hell House randomly but thought I should probably watch the ones I haven't seen first (the second and third). I don't have much to say. Guys go to Hell House and it doesn't work out lol.
