On January 13, 1930, the daily Mickey Mouse newspaper first appeared. It was initially written by Walt Disney & drawn by Ub Iwerks. But it is most associated with artist Floyd Gottfredson, who began drawing it in May 1930 and continued until 1975 (and 1976 on the Sunday strips.)
