Fair enough. We must do so much better. I think Ronni is on our side though, and condemning people trying to do good for not being perfectly effective or using our preferred strategy isn't a good way to build the movement we need.

I don't mind blunt critiques. We need that truth telling. And I agree, we need to change the system. But I also think we should do practical things like not letting people starve and reduce food waste (and the huge climate impacts of that waste) while we're working on systems change. We need both.

I think that's way too harsh. Kon is an inspiration for sure. He's doing both, calling for policy change and getting on with doing what he can with what he's got. Ronni is more the later, but that's still an valuable and needed contribution.

I agree. But I support those who are doing what they can to ease suffering now, as well as those working for systemic change. Are you suggesting we do nothing to help now role we are advocating for policy change?

Not sure I'm following your point. You don't think we should be trying to rescue food?

Genuinely asking questions. Source looks dodgy to me. There wasn't much uncertainty in your post.

Aren't you a scientist? Don't you check outlandish claims before amplifying them? Or is wanting it to be true sufficient?
