I am so dismayed a the statement today from the President of the @royalsociety.org that I want to publish here the letter I wrote to him yesterday urging him to address the clear concerns of the UK scientific community.

Some updates from the first version that those keen on dual-unitaries might find interesting; we make some connections to matchgates, and flesh out our view on the dynamical constraints dual-unitarity imposes on operator space a bit more. Thanks to the anon referees for thought-provoking comments!
