More archival figure studies from the dark days before I got any comics work. Looking back, I could clearly draw, but I was coasting on a very limited set of skills and didn't want to sit down and study theory because I was impatient, arrogant and afraid I wouldn't then have any excuse for failure.

Some old figure studies from before I turned pro. I could work quite well from photo reference at that point, but my unreferenced stuff was generally pretty poor. Proportions and anatomy were all over the place. You're not seeing those ones. But these, I still like.

Cover I did for The Judge Dredd Megazine earlier this year. Not sure the surfboard came out looking as good as I'd like, but those shoulders on the jacket are definitely among my best drawings of jacket shoulders EVER.
Also, I'd just watched Akira - which, of course, I didn't crib from at all.
