Writing a 2D scrolling shoot-em-up, and the bullet-vs-baddy collision is proving surprisingly expensive, since it's an N*M test.
Considering adding the baddies pointers to a grid and then bullets just test the ones in their grid square.

Johnny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch. When they did it as a play they swapped roles each night - I don't remember which way round they put out as a video.

I have seen some footage from Ukraine where a drone interceptor fires nets and tangles the rotors/propellers of a larger drone.
I'm sure they've tried just trailing wire/line behind them. A lot of them are now fiber-optic-controlled, so they already HAVE a big line coming out the back.

A reminder that sure, Tim Curry was great, of course - but the most iconic Frank N Furter was Buffy/Gold Blend man - Anthony Head.

Talking to my 7-year-old nephew, and he is somewhat obsessed with wombats, which is good.
But I was outraged to discover he didn't know the most important fact of all - that their poo is cubic.
How could a 7-year-old child NOT know about wombat poo? Kids these days, eh? I blame the parents.

Ha - I thought this was a picture of the sin calendar showing @ for horny days, versus chaste days, and days like L=lent and so on.
Oh, right - it's just the Apple II powering up.

100% with you on leaving the IDE defaults. The one thing I change is to turn automatic autocomplete off, because it steals the keyboard and that drives me nuts. So I like autocomplete a lot, but it only pops up when I press Ctrl+Space.
