He/Him. Just a simple creative that likes to draw original characters, write stories and make video-game related YouTube videos!
While I'm still not crazy about the new price of amiibo, I appreciate that they are larger and more detailed. I can't see myself buying any more after the last of the Prime 4 amiibo are released, though.

Rave Master: Special Attack Force. I've never heard of the source material before, but this was a fun party fighter. I was impressed the game had voice acting, and it controlled well. The game was a bit too easy, but it was an enjoyable distraction nonetheless.

Soul Sacrifice. Picked it up again after dropping it six years ago. It's ok. The story and world is the most interesting thing about it, but the missions, arenas and combat are only fun for a short while before they become insanely repetitive. Maybe it's better with friends.

Sengoku Dynasty. I don't think survival builders are for me, either. Sengoku Dynasty has so many settings to customize the experience however you want. It's genuinely excellent, but the mechanics were overwhelming, and it was too much of a slow burn for someone like me.

Atelier Yumia. I'll be real, I only played for a few hours and quickly realized I wasn't going to enjoy this. I found the combat super boring and beside just exploring, I was mostly bored. I guess my enjoyment of Sophie was just a fluke, which is such a shame.

Well it ain't much of a screenshot, but Digimon Story Time Stranger has been Platinumed!

Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Phenomenal. I bounced off the story pretty hard but the gameplay is the best the series has ever had. Moving the evolution trees was super addicting and I was always excited to get to the next boss. I think I like the cyber sleuth games a bit more, but only a bit.

I love that Digimon Time Stranger lets you ride many of your Digimon

Also, I've really liked the Miku Festival. The team modes, especially the tap boost, are a great idea and a lot of fun. It feels like a better Team Sonic Racing.

There we go, Sonic Crossworlds Platinum achieved. Though I adore this game, grinding for tickets to get the decals and horns was miserable. The rate of earning tickets seriously needs reworking. Otherwise, this was fun to achieve.

And I got first on my second race!
October 1, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Finally caved and bought PS Plus so I can play Crossworlds online. I almost never play games online unless it's with friends cause I get anxious for one reason or another. My first race didn't go too bad! Got myself a bronze medal.

Sonic Racing Crossworlds. Yup, this is my favorite racing game. Ever. Looks, roster, course design, controls, fun: this game does every everything perfectly to me. I can't express how happy I am with the place the Sonic franchise is in.

Post your favorite Sonic character.
I'm sorry, but you can't ask me to choose between my two sons

Nights of Azure. Didn't jive with this one. The summoning system works and is a cool idea, but it didn't make for engaging combat. Hits lacked impact, too. It all looked pretty cheap, too, especially the animations. It's a decent game, but not one I clicked with.

Tales of Graces. One of better Tales games. The story is pretty forgettable, but I loved every interaction between the cast. The combat was also some of the best pre-Arise, loved the energy it had. The backtracking was bad though, definitely needed more locations to travel.

A farewell to summer

Decided to platinum Cosmic Star Heroine, which took just under 15 hours. This is such great little game. I forgot how varied the cast's abilities were. Every team combination made the combat feel new. I would love to see a follow up one day!

These amiibo are so sexy

Shinobi 3. In prep for (hopefully) my physical copy of Art of Vengeance, I played Shinobi 3. Very good game. I struggled a lot, not sure if it's tough or because I barely play Genesis games. Never realized how much inspiration Shinobi 3D took from this game, many levels felt familiar to me.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Impact. It's Naruto, but with Dynasty Warriors gameplay. A great match! I was disappointed by the roster, and the levels aren't as tight as other Warriors games. But I still had a lot of fun, and there's quite a lot of content stuffed in here!

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. Another forgettable anime arena fighter to add to the pile. Making a hero is admittedly kinda fun, and the combat is fine. But the animations are stiff, hardly befitting of One Punch Man, and the mid combat system is all you really do.

Even if it's only for a page or two, I still can't believe I have a comic where Metal Sonic fights Batman. What a world.

Slay the Princess. A wonderfully unique and replayable visual novel. The pencil sketch art style is an inspired choice, a really cool visual identity. It's hard to talk about without spoilers, but if you like visual novels, I strongly encourage picking up The Pristine Cut.
