The plot owes much to SWLM and Moonraker, with even more sci-fi. The villain, Indigo, has modified himself into a cold-blooded reptile man. He has UFOs, twin albino henchmen -- a decade before Matrix Reloaded, and an evil Jurassic park that can come to you.

Unlike many Bond comics of the era, this has a true blockbuster feel, with all of the good and bad trappings of the films by this time, including plenty of gadgets, womanizing, post-kill puns, and big-scale action.

An earlier time when other media filled in during a long gap between Bond films: 1992's Dark Horse comics adventure Serpent's Tooth, by Doug Moench and Paul Gulacy.

Not the same, but this sent me down the rabbit hole of Bond villain actors with albums -- at least Savalas, Lee, and Davi. On a lower tier, there's Goldie's Mr. Bullion in TWINE.
