Co-activation can be functional, to stabilize, or pathological, e.g. after stroke, but both are captured in one EMG recording.

In our recent paper (first-author Ellis van Can) we isolate functional co-activation through a leg-swinging task in healthy adults.

We had an amazing time organizing #DynamicWalking 2025 in Aachen. It was great to see how our interactive single-track approach, including daily social events, city tours, a panel, demo's and more, sparked discussion between new and old members of our community. See you next year!

Poster-day!

I'm very excited to share our first results on split-belt gait adaptation in people with functional neurological movement disorders.

Want to know more about FND or discuss why they adapt faster than healthy controls? Please come by my poster (P01-N-123) at #ISPGR2025
