Co-activation can be functional, to stabilize, or pathological, e.g. after stroke, but both are captured in one EMG recording.

In our recent paper (first-author Ellis van Can) we isolate functional co-activation through a leg-swinging task in healthy adults.

We had an amazing time organizing #DynamicWalking 2025 in Aachen. It was great to see how our interactive single-track approach, including daily social events, city tours, a panel, demo's and more, sparked discussion between new and old members of our community. See you next year!

Just out!

Can we share data? We tested kinematic consistency across 3 treadmill-based gait labs.

➡️ Turns out, yes we can — with standardized protocols.
