#velvetrevolution 35 years ago was a Tuesday. Strike activity has spread from Prague to almost all universities in Czechoslovakia. The co-ordination centre was at DAMU - the Theatre Faculty of the APA. In contrast, the state was mobilising the army and 4000 civil militias were deployed in Prague.

#velvetrevolution 35 years ago was a Sunday. Two key civic entities were established which would lead the reform process - the Občanské fórum (OF) in Prague and Verejnosť proti násiliu (VPN) in Bratislava. Acronyms straight out of the 2020s though.
