Under Biden you had investments into infrastructure propping up the economy, under Trump those are scrubbed, with tariffs on top. Under Biden you had serious people running the country, under Trump you have clowns. Putting those two on the same level is dumb.

When a big portion of information ecosystem pushes false information abt current prosperity, it won't really matter how good a person the incumbent is, or how effective administrator. Look at what happened to Biden - good growth and employment, yet perception deeply negative. Same in my country...

Because it negates all tension in every subsequent confrontation? How can he be the driving force when he, and everyone else in the not-Empire, answers to Snoke? Snoke is way more powerful than Kylo. And R. Johnson killed him off because he wasn't able to come up with an interesting back-story.

He was being set up as the main antagonist since TFA, thoughout TLJ all the way until he was killed off. He was the more powerful one, while Kylo was beaten in the first film already. There was unresolved mystery around him, which was suddenly made irrelevant. How else should I understand it?

The film does not look like the middle entry of a trilogy, it tries to wrap everything up. I have little faith the next film would have been great, but I can clearly see that what we got was a product of the previous one leaving nothing to go off.

Bold risks like killing the main antagonist mid-story, without expanding on his background, without having another antagonist (Kylo was already defeated by Rey in TFA). Where TFA was shallow fan service that misunderstood the originals, TLJ betrayed or ignored the characters from them.

This film destroyed all set ups for the next, which had to go through lots of hoops just to stumble to the end. The old characters were disrespected, same as most of the new ones except Rey.

At then end of the chase the MIDDLE film in a trilogy was like "nope, why have a bad guy" and KILLED HIM OFF (next film had to resurrect decades dead bad guy in his stead - great writing!)

The not-Empire spent half the film on a naval chase in space (apparently never heard of well established engine tech, wait, didn't they use said tech to enter the area where not-rebel ships had their rendezvous?), which was interrupted by an important and deep message (weapon manufacturers bad)

Maybe you weren't listening .. or watch the film. Starting with 1945 bombing run in space amid stupid phone jokes; "destroy the base on the planet first, we can shoot their ships later! Oh, they're gone"; Luke was an antithesis of himself from the og trilogy; ...

I feel it was just yesterday that Elon was hysterical about AI destroying the world. But that was before he had his own chatbot. What's Elon if not inconsistent?
