If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:

1. Create a new $15B science fund

2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada

3. Immediate permanent residency

4. Citizenship after 2 years

Overnight a science superpower

So I’m one of 6 Democrats appointed to the DOGE committee. My plan is to fight, bring receipts, and bring attention to their bullshit.

Would love your thoughts - how would you approach the committee?

Greens have long campaigned for rail renationalisation and I’m really pleased that this government is taking action. I asked the minister when Great Western Railway will come back into public hands to put an end to rip-off rail fares and disappointing services for my constituents.

Sending solidarity and birthday wishes to Gaie Delap, a peaceful climate protester who is spending her 78th birthday behind bars – all because the private company responsible for fitting electronic tags couldn't find one the right size for her. Will keep pushing for her release.

Elon is absolutely speed-running this.

I really don’t think Musk is radicalised in the traditional sense of the word. In fact, I don’t think he’s got any true political opinions, everything he says is precisely calculated and purely driven to make him more money
Maybe this gives Peter Mandelson something to work with on the Elon Musk Deradicalsation Project

Might pivot to being a pro-tariffs guy. Just as a hedge, you know, I reckon even if the global economy were on its knees, some BBC TV programmes would still want someone on there for 'balance'.

There’s no job I’m afraid to lose if it requires me to degrade anyone.

If that’s a defining issue for a voter, there will be a different candidate.

We have a bathroom in my office that anybody is welcome to use, including Representative-elect Sarah McBride.

Was very proud to nominate my friend (and my MP) @carladenyer.bsky.social to become a Bristol City Council alderwoman this evening. Before Westminster called Carla was a Green councillor for 9 years and I was honoured to talk about the work she did on the council. Congratulations Alderwoman Denyer 💚

#EqualPayDay is sooner this year because that gap has widened, with men earning an average of £631 more than women per month, and even more for black, minoritised and disabled women.

The Government must take urgent action to reduce the pay gap.
Today is Equal Pay Day, when women effectively stop being paid compared to their male colleagues.

We would require all large and medium-size companies to carry out equal pay audits and redress any inequality uncovered.

Equal pay for equal work should not be too much to ask.
