6 weeks of parental leave isn’t nearly enough. But, courtesy of our capitalistic hellscape, I’m going back to work today. At least my wife gets a total of ~6 months.

Folks in my family say things like “you’re settling in nicely with parenthood” and “you both look very happy”. While ultimately true, you only *see* the happy moments. We don’t go bragging about the stress and anxiety we both feel raising a 6-week old. Adjusting is hard. Being a #parent is hard.
