The most interesting booth at Singapore FinTech Festival was the Talent Pavilion. This has people from the universities, Polytechnics, training companies & accreditation bodies. Perhaps Australia should turn do some of our TAFEs & unis into Singapore style polytechnics.

Greetings from Singapore FinTech Festival. The Bahrain booth has the best free coffee at the show. They even offer a flat white, handy for those in the nearby Australian booth. #TeamBahrain

I am a big fan of LEGO SERIOUS PLAY. Is that Duplo in the photo? Do you find the big blocks work better? blog.highereducationwhisperer.com/search/label...

To evidence impact, I write an occasional paper, but hardly anyone reads them. More useful is being on my university's expert list, so journalists can contact me. I volunteer in my professional body. Also I have a blog, "The Higher Education Whisperer": highereducationwhisperer.com

Back in 2010, I suggested a twin engined two seat F-35. This would not be for dogfighting, but to carry more ordnance longer distances & to control "loyal wingman" drones. I am not sure that is what President Trump had in mind. blog.tomw.net.au/2010/11/prop...

The most futuristic project is a hydrogen powered speedboat (which looks like a #USV from the Black Sea).

Professional photographers pose people in unnatural ways to tell a story. Here is an example of me in a balloon with a senator, over Parliament House in Canberra, sending photos over the Internet. Completely unnatural, but tells the story. tomw.net.au/travel/ballo...

Then there are the power sockets between seats, positioned so your cable gets jammed in the mechanism. blog.highereducationwhisperer.com/2024/12/heut...

The lifts? What is wrong with the lifts? I haven't seen one yet. At the moment I am in the basement in the large lecture theatre. This is very conventional. There is some pattern on the back wall, but we don;t have to look at it.

Many events are organised to create content for conventional & social media. As long as there a few celebrities there, that is sufficient grist to the social media mill. That said, I love such events, so put me on the list. ;-) www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1...
