All the talk about law and order - open Alcatraz, etc. Reminds of the type that say we should put homosexuals in prison while simultaneously paying gay men for sex in their spare time. Classic projection for a lawbreaker in the White House

When we get left behind by China as they forge ahead with trade deals of their own, the damage is done. Even if we do a complete 180 in the next administration, we will be behind the eight ball and most likely at the table begging for trade scraps from countries that have leaned into elsewhere

I am not an economist. However-this whole tariff business is the dumbest thing imaginable. In a global economy, what’s going to stop a country from saying “well f$@k you, we will trade with someone else.” Might have worked in 1890 - 2025 - not so much. Japan, South Korea already looking to China

Obviously, Jeffrey Goldberg has the texts that Hegseth claims that he doesn’t have. The Senate or House Armed Services Chairs can easily and quickly verify who is lying about this. If Hegseth blatant lied about this on camera tonight, how in the world can he continue in this job?

I sense a collective emotional weariness in kind people these days: the scar tissue created when you've absorbed more bad news, predatory behavior, and attacks on decency than your reserves can manage.

Sustained brutality will do that to the soul.

Listened to Trump explain his “Trump Card” to let Russian oligarchs into our country for a $5 million fee. Interviewer asked him what would happen if they turned out to be a bad guy. He “would give them their money back and send them home” - not send them to a concentration camp in El Salvador

Saw that Markets have lost 5 trillion - yes TRILLION- since January. This seems to be like a side note in the news. I did the math and a guy like Musk who was lost 125 billion in roughly 75 days is losing 1 million per hour, which really amounts to what I’m hoping for in my retirement nest egg 🤬🖕

Gullible = easily persuaded to believe something

Read this article about a TASS (Russian State) reporter “sneaking in” to the Oval Office during the Zelenskyy meeting (wink wink). I’m sorry, but how fucking stupid would you have to be to entertain that as truth, even for a split second.

"What can I do?"

That is the number 1 question I get asked. And at this time in our democracy -- or what remains of it when public servants put their loyalty to a person above their oaths of office— I am grateful that people are asking that question.

If you’ve ever suffered at the hands of a gaslighter, this feels familiar. Someone tries to convince you that your eyes didn’t see it. You shout from the rooftops hoping someone will listen “I saw this”.
Somehow there needs to be a strategy for calling this out in real time in our political arena
