Typing this made me realize "welcome" is a portmanteau of "well" and "come" similar to how "farewell" is "fare well" :o

I wonder if it's because of the OTF format? I just checked a text file and it's notably missing the character extensions on lon, pi, tawa, etc.

Update: after messing around with a semi-related thing I have discovered that linja pona is broken and changing my font to linja laso worked, for some reason

Update: after a full hour of trying to fix it and failing, I have given up. Hopefully it automagically fixes itself in the next update >:(

lo/n is two morae long so I like to pronounce them separately when convenient :^) Japanese songs do this too, so sometimes you'll hear "konna" as two syllables, and sometimes as three!

It would certainly be interesting to a certain kind of nerd as well—I've always told myself that if I ever made a conlang, I would make sure to slip in some weird irregulars because I love chaos :^)

And in the toki pona learning communities I've been in, they tend to correct them when they do so, so I think it's more commonly not used. Could be wrong though! I'm not in too many toki pona communities :')

Based on my observation of toki pona usage, most people don't use "e" after "kepeken". Of course it's never zero, but those that do tack an "e" afterwards are usually new learners.

Yep! "kepeken e" is usually treated as a beginner's mistake since it only exists as a preposition, but I sometimes like to play around with my "mistakes" and see what weird stuff I come up with in my own defense :^)
