You could replace woman with an LDS sister missionary promoting the Book of Mormon and the resulting video would still have the exact same vibe. I know because my feed is full of them.

The video that sparked this discussion is pretty representative, in my experience. We're pretty good at taking care of our own, most the time, and often with strings attached. Not so much the wider community.

Comparing the availability of under 200-year-old documents composed in the modern era to nearly 2000-year-old documents composed in antiquity to claim the superior transparency of the LDS church is profoundly stupid. Apples and oranges doesn't even begin to describe it.
