I'll probably make a trip to Atlantic Canada this year, not NYC.
Beryl Markham was the 1st woman to fly solo across the North Atlantic, and the first person to do it east-west. She crash-landed in Baleine Cove, C. Breton, near my brother's home. I'd like to see that.

Nanda Devi, 7,817 m (25,646 ft), is India's 2nd highest summit, and the world's 23rd tallest peak. Willi Unsoeld was so awed by its beauty that he vowed to name his 1st daughter after it. In 1976 he led a climbing team that included his daughter. Nanda Devi Unsoeld (22) died on her namesake peak.

Ama Dablam means "Mother's necklace", the hanging glacier thought of as the dablam, the traditional double-pendant containing pictures of the gods, worn by Sherpa women.
