I myself was actually writing a novel on and off about a CIA exfiltration of a Chinese defector, pretty romantic. But totally lost the momentum after the election. Who'd defect to this hellhole now?
One side effect of the 2nd Trump presidency: I completely lost interest in watching any new show where America is the good guy.
