Dubois did not quit and should be shown respect. He was just hopelessly outgunned by an exceptionally good boxer. No one even gets close to Usyk in the quality fighter stakes at any weight.

For memoirs, where medical conditions are mentioned or alluded to, there should be a full medical examination by an NHS appointed ‘panel of experts’ to evaluate and agree on the subject’s condition.

The quote was not Seamus Heaney. It is attributed (probably wrongly) to Mark Twain. Heaney did allude to it, if somewhat more eloquently:

Harry Evans left the Sunday Times in 1981. I was never a fan of Andrew Neil. So the best liberal Sunday at that time was probably the Mail on Sunday under Stewart Steven which backed the SDP/Liberals and went from 1m to 2m sales in the decade—and was a very different newspaper to what is has become.
