Yeah, I loved finding new authors through anthologies when I was in my prime reading days

Even if you never switch from QWERTY, I would suggest reading the Anymak link, because the concepts of home row mods, and the concept of layering keyboards, that make for powerful shortcuts, are concepts that really change your relationship with the keyboard

Anymak, Graphite, Gallium, or Hands Down: Neu seem like the best modern alt layouts to me if you have keys on your fingers and not thumb.
If you have a keyboard with thumb clusters and want to get wiggy by putting T, E, or R on a thumb, Enthium, Hands Down: Promethium offer good stats.

Yeah, I downloading a tiling manager for osx called Amethyst, and mapped in all the key combos to a set of home row placements on a window layer, so frigging cool, where has this been my whole life? lol

I have been learning a lot about layers, and holy cow is life changing.
I now have some home row special keys. I press my two middle fingers down and I am window mode, where my key presses move windows around and navigate spaces. I press my index fingers down at the same time and I'm in Glyph mode

I keep moving how I trigger the shift key around, as well as some symbol keys, and I was keeping it all right in my head until tonight when I moved the M key to the pinky finger to roll inward with others, it feels perfect, but my brain finally said 'bro, another one?' and now I can't type lol
