If the date is modified to contain a two-digit day (April 11 in this example), only one digit is actually shown since it was never meant to display a second one. Additionally, once the day and hour counters reach zero, they are hidden, while this doesn't apply to the minute one.

The date and time the countdown on the Deltarune website finishes isn't hardcoded, but is loaded from a file called "is-it-ready-yet.txt". If modified to contain a date in the past, the countdown changes to this text (nothing else changes).

Finally, I traced over the render to create the hand-made pixelart used in the final mockup! This procedure ensured that the perspective would remain correct while making sure that it looks as clean as possible.

This allowed me to prototype a variety of different angles and camera positions until I decided on this one. Then, I downscaled this image to Undertale's resolution and imported it as a reference in Asesprite.

I came up with this idea of a long street leading up to the palace pretty quickly, but since I'm not an artist, I had no idea how to actually make that happen. However, since I know how to use Godot's blockout tools, I decided to make a 3D model of the scene first.
