It pisses me off. I’m not usually someone who gets mad when the tax bill comes due every year but this year I was raging. You want to take my human rights AND you want me to pay for the privilege of doing so? Fuck all the way off.

The funny thing is, if he did that I think I’d actually leave fb for good. I don’t spend nearly as much time on it as I did even a year ago but if they wiped all my friends, I’d just delete the app. Because then it has zero use to me.

I think it’s good to keep in mind that there may not be a next time to keep us motivated to keep fighting. It’s been shown time after time that in the left we get complacent and cocky and when that happens bad shit follows. Right now, we have no reason to believe there will be a next time.

We definitely do. All cultures are on the spectrum somewhere from individualistic to collectivist, some more in one direction or another. We are very very far down the individualism side in the US. I don’t even know if it’s possible to push it back in any sort of healthy balance in our own lifetimes

Idk what the answer is but we’ve proven many times over that we don’t keep up with things that need maintenance and capitalism needs maintenance to be fair. Just look at vax rates, we get complacent and then decide we don’t need these anymore because we forgot why we had them in the first place.

I don’t think theres a way to do that tbh. The only way for capitalism to have balance is to put so many regulations so it cant screw over the working class and theyre real good at finding ways around those. And when they can’t they just wait for the next president and pay him to cut the regulations

Even before he went way off the deep end I knew a guy a couple jobs ago at this clinic I worked at who idolized the guy and claimed he was the smartest man on the planet. Me and the nurses laughed at him and told him he sucks. That guy was a huge douche canoe.
