previously "CAI-TAn" or "K-T"
Honestly, having the restraint to keep the whole experience from being too self-referential is remarkable and amazing for the series, it truly has that escalation where each entry is just Better than the ones before it with no context needed.

Keep in mind that CAI-TAn herself will also still be a mascot; however, I'm currently refining her brand new design before I add her back into the branding and such.

Toasty will generally be the mascot for the studio's logo and branding primarily.

The sniper catgirl will return...

TL;DR:
- I, Cait of ToasterCatball, am no longer CAI-TAn (or K-T). She is officially my original character and mascot.
- Tentative streaming return will be November 18 at 4PM EST.
- Stay tuned for a new freaking goober to appear here!

regardless the person who came into my replies last time telling me the app I was using was "outdated" for not accepting them was on Twitter and I'm not logging back into that purgatory for anything

Yes, browsers will always support *displaying* WEBP files. But applications and websites with end user input of images basically never accept them. Blender, Ellipsus, Unity Editor, etc.

I mean, I was specifically saying "the type you want" as in, if you wanted to check if the IKillable reference is specifically a Player (i.e. cast it to type Player, like (Player)killable != null)
November 10, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Right, but that only works if the output variable is already defined as the type you want. I'm saying I usually use the "x is T y" pattern as a type casting check, i.e.

if (collider is CharacterController char)
{
char.Move(someVector)
}

(poor example but it's what I had off the top of my head)

Oh interesting! I've used the `if (GetSomethingThatMightBeFooOrAnotherType() is Foo foo)` auto-casting pattern before, so I had an inkling of what this might do, but the part where you can specify a field to check on the resulting object as part of a null check instead is pretty neat!
