Government buildings in South Carolina with flags lowered at half-staff for President Jimmy Carter, per Executive orders of Governor @henrymcmaster and President @JoeBiden. Flags are lowered for 30 days from the date of the President's death. His state funeral is January 9, 2025.

Former President Jimmy Carter, who died at age 100, will be honored with a state funeral in Washington DC on January 9, 2025.

With the passing of John Spratt, there are only 3 living SC Democrats who have served in Congress: Jim Clyburn, Joe Cunningham and Robin Tallon.

Current and former State Senators in addition to Sabb, seen at Senator Patterson's funeral service include: Maggie Wallace Glover, Gerald Malloy, Thomas C. Alexander, Tameika Isaac Devine and Jeffrey R. Graham.

Meet Her Excellency Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President-Elect of Namibia. She is the first woman to hold this position, and will assume office on March 21, 2025.

My first post on @bsky.app recognizes the late James Solomon Jr., one of the three SC Black students who integrated the @uofsc.bsky.social in 1963. Solomon passed away on November 29, 2024.
