Before I head to bed, trying to add a little bit of joy with Santa playing peekaboo with my (right in the middle of stranger danger stage) toddler. It was hosted as a sensory friendly event by his OT, and it reminded me there are patient, kind people in this world.

I’m doing a good job raising my preemie heart baby (his heart has been fixed and he’s now developmentally caught up to peers)
I’ve gotten pretty good at cooking most of our meals from complete scratch

Busy mornings (speech, running around, a lot of playing with the tot tube while Mama does the normal house cleaning and tries to process the stupidity of the Supreme Court) calls for snuggles while lunching on homemade pizza. It’s rough out there, but these moments are everything 🥰

The perpetual people pleaser in me is so so happy everyone likes the beach house I picked this year. I worked really hard to find one that suited everybody and somehow? I pulled it off. The reverse floor plan is a game changer for homes not directly on the beach itself.

Non-pro Pro Tip: investing in a silicon muffin tray is a very efficient investment. I use mine for a myriad of things, including freezing stock into easy to use cubes instead of having to defrost a large (and time consuming) jar. Once they freeze, I pop them into a freezer storage container.

Making stock is one of those things that makes me feel pretty good at this homemaking thing. Taking some bones and veggie scraps and turning it into a half gallon of this stunning amber liquid feels like magic

Phase one of decorating is done. I’m super pleased with these sugar cookies since it’s the first time I’ve decorated with flood icing.

My red spec in a purple state town turned out pretty good for #nokings. The corner protestors are about 2 deep and go around the corner. There are two other areas for protestors too that I didn’t get a pic as we drove past.

None of us are feeling very well at the moment, so I spent the rainy day making stock from bones left from our last spatchcock chicken and veggie scraps. Some of it will be made into soup tonight, some of it will be made into pasta e fagioli tomorrow for E’s grandad, and the rest will be frozen
