I'm never getting past Pescara. Early days, just short hops, but he invented the cyclic controls and is the true daddy of helicopters.

I have been told that the airframe restoration was so good that it would be airworthy for the want of an operating engine, but as it is, it's stuck the ground where tractors belong.

Earlier I heard a helicopter go by out of sight with an unusual light fluttering sound but then sounded more like a light aeroplane as it flew away which seemed odd
It then flew back over later, one of these I think. It sounded odd as you don't often see piston engined helicopters these days.

Indeed, I only stumbled upon it online this summer so I went to the airshow there. I'd certainly be happy to go again just for a museum visit.
