Basically an Arizona native. Raised Catholic. Democrat. Bad Golfer.

Ray Peat inspired nutrition.
Spot on. Although I'm only 9 years away from Social Security so it's not totally for loyalty or strategy.

Absolutely. I have no quibble with this at all.
April 2, 2025 at 7:05 AM
That's a very valid point. In the end, aren't we just debating whether or not to accept the lesser of two evils in the short term in order to get really good Justices of the Supreme Court like Ketanji Brown Jackson? Electing Biden was worth it just for that.
April 2, 2025 at 7:03 AM
Again, Elon Musk just dropped 25 million in the Wisconsin race and lost. Yes big money is hard to beat. Not impossible though.
April 2, 2025 at 7:00 AM
I agree she was a shit candidate. I held my nose to vote for her because I knew Trump would be worse. And I knew that he was going to get 2 SCOTUS justices. Even I didn't think he'd get 3 though.
April 2, 2025 at 6:55 AM
SCOTUS you know the Supreme Court of the United States. Those people who get to decide if you get any rights or no rights. Those who get to decide if we should return to pre-Griswold v Connecticut when freaking **birth control** was illegal.
April 2, 2025 at 6:52 AM
Such a lazy response.
April 2, 2025 at 6:49 AM
I think it's all polling. And Hillary certainly tried to make SCOTUS an issue. But she wasn't pure enough so she lost and we got Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Coney Barret. And they will absolutely go after Obergefell if they get the numbers.
April 2, 2025 at 6:48 AM
You're putting words in my mouth. I'm a doomer. I know for a fact that Alito and Thomas would bring back freaking child labor. That's how bad they are.
April 2, 2025 at 6:45 AM
They read the polling. Why do you think Republican are running scared on Medicaid? They read the polling.
April 2, 2025 at 6:43 AM
They had a plan to overturn Roe. They started some 40 years ago with a SCOTUS laser focus. Now, the Dems who are smart can tell that they are overreaching. They want to cut Medicaid to fund billionaire tax cuts. So we'll likely get a Dem House in 26 and a Dem Prez in 2028 and we'll right SCOTUS.
April 2, 2025 at 6:41 AM
Nobody's stopping you. Run Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush. I'll vote for them every time over the right wing idiots who want to impoverish the country.
April 2, 2025 at 6:37 AM
Fair point. And it worked for them did it not? Roe opened my eyes. The Heritage Foundation came up with a plan and saw it through to the end.
April 2, 2025 at 6:35 AM
Unfortunately mostly true except for the SCOTUS. And everything is SCOTUS. Everything.
April 2, 2025 at 6:33 AM
Elon Fucking Musk just dropped 25 million dollars into the Wisconsin race and *lost*. Can't blame everything on right wing money.
April 2, 2025 at 6:28 AM
I'm sure you would. But you'll let Republicans win while doing so. Disgusting.
April 2, 2025 at 6:26 AM
How'd the "justice democrats" do? Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, etc.
April 2, 2025 at 6:25 AM
You're going through Hell because Trump won. Fucking dude even picked up support from African-Americans and Hispanics. Figure out a way to stop Republicans from winning. Simple as.
April 2, 2025 at 6:23 AM
Moderate Dems win elections and then put liberals on the courts. I haven't seen a better strategy. Clinton was a moderate who gave us great justices. Obama was a moderate who gave us better justices.
April 2, 2025 at 6:19 AM
I don't understand how you don't understand how much worse things can get. I was raised Catholic. These Catholic integralists want to ban "birth control".
April 2, 2025 at 6:17 AM
Well, I agree with you on that. Campaigning with Liz Cheney was a monumental mistake.
April 2, 2025 at 6:17 AM
Yes luckily. Because what they really want is to eliminate social security, medicare and medicaid so that Elon can get a tax cut. Because they are stupid, they will pursue that agenda and we'll end up with a moderate Dem in 2028 who will put people on the court like Kagan, Sotomayor and Jackson.
April 2, 2025 at 6:15 AM
I'm literally not. I gave you the best answer I could. I think you'll be *worse off* under Trump. I think you wouldn't have to worry about your VA benefits had Harris won. How is that not an answer?
April 2, 2025 at 6:13 AM
Jesus Christ you live in alternate reality if you don't think the "i'm for you and she's for they/them" wasn't an extremely effective ad. And Trump winning has set things back what 20 years? Keep playing the same game, and you'll get the same results. Now luckily the GOP will overplay their hand.
April 2, 2025 at 6:12 AM
I mean I could be wrong. But in my view, the Wisconsin court victory tonight is extremely important. Elect Dems who yes will have to avoid certain topics that poll 80/20 against us, then those Dems put good people on the courts and then the courts expand rights. I don't see an alternative.
