Absolutely. They take biblical mentions of how the early first century Christians were "persecuted," then wrap that into whatever modern thing they want to complain about, like brown people existing or someone saying "happy holidays" or whatever. It's a way to justify their hatred of the other.

Wow. You can really see the difference in the last one when you move the slider back and forth across Peri. Her top looks like a 1980s video game, and her skin goes all dull and fuzzy.
Glad I never made the leap to getting the Blu-ray versions. DVD is fine with me.

The show can be kind of uneven during its first season, some good some bleh (like most Star Trek series of the era when they started out). But it gets better and better as it goes on.

I was dumbfounded when I realized how many people never actually do that. I think it was on Cracked where I saw a post that said something like, "The song 'Jessie's Girl' is *really* about a guy who wants to steal his friend's girlfriend!" Well, duh. That's literally the whole point.

A high school friend of mine, a geek everyone picked on, joined ROTC, became more and more of a dick, dropped out of college, went into the Marines, spoke with an increasingly swaggering southern accent, became a cop, and last I saw was kicked off the force and had a Duck Dynasty type beard.

Most of the people opposed to it think it's a synonym for "Communism." Which they also can't define. More fundamentally, they think either word means "the bad guys." It's a simplistic, childlike ignorance.
