I got your Beck and call right here.
(I was looking for one of the singer Beck, but this douchebag that I'd forgotten about came up instead.)

Funnily enough, back in the day I always laughed whenever I saw a white Pontiac Trans Sport because I thought they looked an awful lot like the Enterprise's shuttlecrafts.

Ugh. Sounds like a complete tool who isn't worth your time. This would have been my response:

This is my usual go-to when people ask for stuff like this:

@king-reinhardt.bsky.social I wound up behind this car today, and its bumper sticker made me think of you. 😄

Doctor Who had its equivalents. Like this one from 1973. I remember it airing (in reruns) and thinking, "I really hope none of my friends who know I watch this show are seeing this."

I'd say it's both. If people keep making the mistake, language will eventually give up and say stuff like, "Sure, 'literally' now means the opposite of what it means." 🙄

You're a sick little weirdo. Which is mostly why I follow you. 🤭

Young Blood, Book One of the Young Blood Trilogy, is available in print, ebook, and audiobook formats! If you're into vampires, 1980s nostalgia, and monstrous children out of control, this is the book for you. #Booksky

I sort of did the opposite in the third book in my trilogy, demonstrating that not only is my narrator unreliable, he doesn't realize the name of the book he's in. I like to imagine a reader who is familiar with Bob Dylan's work screaming at this point. (Also, the song does come up later on.)

These are my three and the wisdom I gained from them, more or less in order: Question everything with defiance and cleverness. Embrace science and truth as you learn your place in the universe. And it's still okay to enjoy the fantastic, scary, and silly stories that people can create.

Might be time to get one of these. It feels like a surrender to old-dom, but it also brings peace of mind, keeping you from second-guessing yourself.
Fun fact: In our house, we found that this was a good way to keep the dog from pretending she hadn't been fed, since if the meds were gone, she had.
