New #dataset on International #Cyber Expression out in Journal of Peace Research. @jcanfil.bsky.social collects >34K official government statements on cyberspace. I love this figure showing that the state focus has shifted.

Yining Sun, Ethan Kapstein, and Jacob Shapiro collected BRI project data, local politician social media, and South China Sea dispute dates for Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Posts from politicians in BRI recipient districts were no more favorable towards China.
