Now You See Me, Now You Don't:

Now You See Me, Now You Don't may lack a lot of logic and doesn't have a good script or well developed characters, but thanks to it's fun magic tricks and a charismatic cast, it is a lot of fun to watch. Also felt very cartoony too...

In Your Dreams:

In Your Dreams may have some terrific animation, has fun with it's concept, and does an okay job of handling it's main message, but with a story that takes a lot of odd turns and forgettable characters, it feels very shallow and doesn't really have a whole lot to stand out.

It may be early, but the world premiere reactions have been VERY encouraging.

I hope it remains the case in the coming weeks. I have faith in Bush and Howard.

Iger needs to leave as soon as possible. I hope that time comes sooner than we think.

I have admittedly been a lot more kinder to Disney Animation's post Encanto output and don't think they are as bad as many say they are, but I do also agree that they haven't made a great film since Encanto(which I personally feel is one of my favorite Disney Animation films.). God, I am hoping.

Frankenstein(2025):

Frankenstein may be imperfect and has an occasionally wonky structure, but thanks to it's gorgeous visuals, stellar storytelling, and fantastic performances, including a defining turn from Elrodi as the Creature, it's another example of why del Toro is one of the greats.

I find that to be questionable, but Parker and Stone did recently admit that Ellison has left them to their own devices, which, for once, is good.

I may have to see the film for myself to realize if that's true or not. We shall see.

Smurfs had the Rihanna is Smurfette tagline and One had that not very good first trailer. Search for SquarePants has so far had... ...well, mainly silence.

Although we still failed Transformers One as a film. We really did.

Phew. At the very least, that is encouraging.

It is apparently going to be attached to The Running Man, which certainly is a... ...different choice for something like it to be attached to, but there have been worse. At least SpongeBob does have cross generational appeal.

By the way, I still don't get why they have been so mum with The Search for SquarePants. They have had only one short teaser... ...and yet people have already seen the film and plot details have leaked out there. Just hoping for that full trailer sooner than later.

Considering how much Paramount Animation has struggled to find their footing for almost 15 years, I really hope that Dodge ends up doing it.

But considering where Paramount has headed lately, yeah, they could have chosen worse.

Predator: Badlands:

Even with it's more lighter tone and PG-13 rating, Predator: Badlands still continues Trachtenberg's excellent streak with the titular monster. Great visuals and action, a ton of charm and atmosphere, strong characters, and a lot of heart are all to be found here.

Ditto. If anything, I easily think Bluey will be the best of the recent preschool aimed films we have been getting.

Then again, even everyone else adores the Heelers too.

Then again, Gabby's Dollhouse did pretty decently at the box office. So they are seeing some value in films aimed at very young audiences...
