I hear people say the most outrageous blatant lies and have no proof or data or even anecdotal evidence. They just get a glaze in their eye and get louder and repeat the same words.

And it works just as well as the most sound eloquent valid argument to a LOT OF PEOPLE

But ideally this system should be able to work evetything from Magnum PI to Bones with dials for everything from comedy to intense drama as appendices or options. We don't get spoiled with enough mystery/crime games, so push the limits 😔 I just don't think it will every happen in one game

I don't know if a licensed police, legal or medical investigative procedural could or should ever be made. Obviously it would need amazing safety tools & should use Clocks.

I admit I may just want the oracle/random tables to shake things up in other games. Mystery mechanics of Brindlewood can help

Venture Brothers TTRPG. Uses a dice pool system but instead of rolling successes you’re rolling failures. Zero failures is how you succeed (without complications). Lower sized pools/stats indicate higher actual competence. Some system effects allow offloading fails to others’ pools.
