Just because you feel something doesn't make it true. And while you have a right to your feelings, you do not have the right to have your feelings that have no factual support catered to at the expense of those who haven't harmed you & who are, in fact, more likely than you to be harmed.

In Jewish tradition, we find our way out of narrow places through conjuring a future of liberation and redemption. We have not earned the luxury of despair. Now is the time for rugged optimism.

Because Judaism is about doing, not "believing." You can think whatever you want, but you're a good Jew if you do good Jewish things. Christianity is focused on spiritual matters, Heaven, etc. We're about the here and now, tikun olam, the practical matters of everyday life.

not for nothing, in addition to being old af, Judaism is varied and contradictory and human and tremendously interesting and it's just really silly to assume people who care about it and enjoy each other are vapid and delusional sheep
