I take her collar off so the only noise is if she shakes or yelps in her sleep, which doesn't happen very often.

As I head into another shitstorm of a week, posting this to remind myself that yesterday morning was perfection 👌🥰

This showed itself to me when I was looking for something else in my files today - created by a wonderful poet whose words helped me to breathe. www.danushalameris.com/poems 💖

Clearing my bookcase. Does anyone want these? I'm happy to bundle in any combination or singly. Free, but would appreciate a bit of postage. Some are a bit puppy-nibbled on the upper spine, but all in very readable condition.

Sneak preview of the cover design! I'm not finished with the subtitle - this version reads a bit like a school essay IMO. But yay ... and Penny's a cute model!! Earrings by sis of @taramcallister.bsky.social (whose handle I can't find). I wonder if photoshop might remove the wooden post.

I went down a whakapapa rabbit hole today. To be honest, it's the best decision I could have made. Figuring out who some of these wāhine were & now wondering if the photo was a setup that went viral 😂.

This is the colour of my front door as well as my office - it's glorious to come home to. I 💯agree with fun bright colours for doors!!

Our findings: that whānau need their navigators/kaioriori within their communities to help them overcome system barriers, that services need whanaungatanga among themselves as well as with whānau & that the NGO sector is confusing & misleading. Will we ever get this published?? Not looking +ve.

I've had a tone deaf, quite savage paper rejection from Kōtuitui. Apparently social network mapping isn't a valid analysis & our Indigenous designer's images to portray our findings to whānau are 'cartoons'. This is my second experience of them not engaging with Indigenous approaches so I'm done.

Gloriously began my day by reading this kaupapa Māori research poetry paper by Logan Hamley. He & his participants were *chef's kiss* 😍 www.journalofglobalindigeneity.com/article/1244...

Adding a post here - when I required 'real' citations it added a verification step that included a checklist of its steps (e.g. stable URL) & a big green tick to show it had passed. This is the step I went through three times.

My two little sanity-generators showing their usual energy. Penny (left, 5yrs) is a sweetheart, very gentle. Parker (right, almost 2 yrs) is a whirlwind who has paused his collecting of playthings with for a brief nap. Please note that my Thunderbirds fan of a husband had naming rights!
