I think Felvidek struck this balance for me, but its intentionally short.
i wonder how something like Divinity Original Sin hits for you. not a jrpg, but it is turn based. or slay the spire which feels engaging all the way through a run, and wondering if thats on the randomness...

this was a failure. I'm only just barely past the section for the original campaign and hes convinced me I have to keep going. just did witch hunt and yeah, thats the real ending of Origins. like 100+ hours over 3 1/2 games to go 😭
