My quick pitch to fix Young Justice
November 22, 2024 at 9:31 PM
How do I view labelled media
November 20, 2024 at 2:45 PM
As for the super sons characters (Jon, Nobody/Maya and Beacon/Kathy), Beacon and Nobody are admittedly stretches, however Jon is not. His n52 version was associated with the team and he had multiple crossovers with the rebirth team, as well as DC collecting super sons in these Walmart books
November 20, 2024 at 2:44 PM
Now touching on why I included characters from YJ who never made the jump to the titans and why I count the super sons as a titans adjacent book:

DC included YJ exclusive members like Arrowette and the wonder twins in the death metal titans story
November 20, 2024 at 2:44 PM
I feel like this era lasting up until rebirth is pretty self explanatory. Once the core cast of YJ take over the titans books they pretty much stay as the core cast of characters until rebirth

Rebirth and academy generation are together as rebirth directly leads into it

I think this is the best place to start a new generation as it’s an entirely new core of characters and they’re seen as the same age range as YJ (who a lot of people would count as the next gen) and counted as the same era (as YJ) by DC themselves.

This brings us to Jurgen’s Titans, a new take on the team spinning out of zero hour (which erased most of the team titans) focusing on a new cast of characters, led by a deaged atom. Eventually some older titans would appear
November 20, 2024 at 2:44 PM
An argument could be made for Arsenal’s titans, it is a younger team and doesn’t have all that much connection to the originals, however the fact it’s still part of New Titans and written by Wolfman makes me think that the next team is a better place to start a new generation
November 20, 2024 at 2:44 PM
However it failed and this team just folded over into new titans. Most of the team were erased from history during zero hour, which we’ll get to in a minute
November 20, 2024 at 2:44 PM
Now let’s look at what I consider to be the proper first attempt at a new titans generation, The team titans

Originally called the teen titans this group of teens were from an alternate future and had their own book, called team titans. DC wanted this to be their X-Force
November 20, 2024 at 2:44 PM
Some people would point to NTT as a separate generation but I disagree, the new crop of characters are similar ages and are treated as equals of the original titans

Throughout the run younger members join but they are just younger parts of that first generation
November 20, 2024 at 2:44 PM
Now moving onto how I decided the generations, because most titans fans have differing opinions on this. The general consensus is there’s at least 3 generations, some people would say there’s more but 3 is the most common

The problems is where does each generation start and end?
November 20, 2024 at 2:44 PM
Overall I think there’s 155 titans, across 3 generations with 58 in generation 1, 66 in generation 2 and 31 in generation 3

Thread of how I define the titans generations 🧵
November 20, 2024 at 2:44 PM
I feel like it had to be, it was around the same time as King and Rocafort’s Superboy series was knocked back, the design Kon has when he first appears carried over from that
November 17, 2024 at 8:48 PM
The official DC account is weird as fuck
November 17, 2024 at 8:10 PM
My hot take is that Rocafort Superboy design is a better modernisation of Kon than Gleason’s

Kon’s main two designs have a casual flair reflecting the fashion of the world around them. The hoodie and sneakers captures 2010s fashion a lot more than the Wonder comics design, which does too much
November 17, 2024 at 7:33 PM
Honestly out of the core four, I think Cassie is the only one who truly bought into what the titans as a whole is. Kon, Bart and Tim very much view the team as a family but mostly just because it’s where their friends are. Cassie just kinda got it more than them, at least to me
November 17, 2024 at 4:45 PM
I actually think about this design semi regularly. When it was designed I think it works for a future Kon suit but honesty I’m not the biggest fan of it

Think the more designs Kon got the less fitting this became of him

Nightwing and Superboy are my two favourite characters. I find them both very relatable for different reasons.

Titans franchise is obviously my favourite

Technis Imperative and Graduation Day should be here. I have a bad habit of including them with Titans 1999 and Teen Titans 2003 respectively. They are must reads.
November 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM
100% agreed. The new 52 suit really doesn’t fit Barry, I think Barry should be well put together and smart looking. The messy look of the n52 suit contrasts his personality, however I think it perfectly fits Bart

The 2nd suit takes this to a whole new level, the yellow lenses remind me of impulse

Honourable mentions 2:

Flash
Omen
Bumblebee, Guardian
Jericho
Speedy, Arrowette
Empress
Miss Martian
Aquagirl, Static
Solstice
Kid Flash, Robin, Red Arrow

Again I love all these characters and would love to see them appear on any take of the titans. Some pretty mistreated characters here.

Honourable mentions:

Ravager
Green Lantern
Bunker
Captain Marvel Jr.
Argent
Aqualad
Beast Boy
Tempest
Blue Beetle
Raven

I love all these guys too tbh, some extremely important characters here but I’d be happy with any them on any titans team

Roy Harper

A truly tragic character, one who I relate to quite a bit. Probably my third favourite character after Dick and Kon

I think one of the biggest misunderstandings about Roy is that he’s defined by his failures, in actuality he’s defined by his ability to triumph them
