7 month baby hair update. We’re in the mostly chill era of owning a baby which is a nice change 😅

Time to go home, five days later. Final hospital meal was a little less beige 🙏 Not looking forward to my new gallbladder free dietary restrictions but hoping I can still make my trips to Berlin and London this month 💕💕💕

Another sad beige lunch. At least the soup is delicious, has some lamb in it!

Turkish hospital food, sad gallbladder removal edition. First one was boiled potatoes, fruit confit, rice pudding. Second is toast, two types of cheese and an egg. Much prefer the post baby food. Husbands trays are looking much better 👀

My MIL went on Instagram while she was here today and saw a reel that said, “If you have two peaches, make this cake!” Well, we had two peaches and she made me a delicious cake 🥰

Chat GPT said I could find some peace from looking out the window but it didn’t realize I live in Istanbul 😆 (Something fell off the construction site and caused a lot of drama)

Never in a million years did I expect to give birth to a red headed baby with this much hair. 5 months old already!

One downside of living in Istanbul - lots of light comes in when the windows are open. Today’s project was blocking out light from one side of the window (left 2am, right 9pm) - seems like some improvement at least! It’s not pretty but I desperately need sleep.

My baby did some tummy time during our flight to the US and was so cute to everyone who walked by 💕

My baby is 2 months! She’s had her first set of vaccines, she’s 97th percentile length, and she’s reached all her milestones. There is a debate going on whether she’ll turnout to look like a blonde version of my husband or a Turkish Jenny. Annnnd I continue to be shocked by how much hair she has.

Left the baby alone with grandma to go to an afternoon wedding today and everyone survived 😦 Came home to a content sleeping baby 🥰

Impressed that the nightly protests in Istanbul are still picking up steam, they’re getting louder instead of quieter. This goes on for about 30 mins every night since the Mayor was arrested.

Beautiful tomatoes at the market in our neighborhood 😍

Post market feast (with the exception of the salami which I brought back from London).
-Fresh mandarins
-Simit with honeycomb and kaymak
-Pickled beets
-Two types of salty cheese
-Olives
-Juice made by MILs friend
🤤
