I run around a bit and attempt to not get booted for insulting terfs.
Realistically nothing is going to stop Israel. They've spent years pumping money into every western government to guarantee support. It'll stop when they fulfill their aim to fully occupy Gaza.

Same, I'll just be happy if there isn't a named storm like there was last year when I was sweeping overnight. They have a 55mile option so most probably gonna see if I can drop down to that and test fueling on something shorter.

I have a volunteer entry into a winter 100miler on the south downs in December. Originally I was gonna scrap it, but I'm thinking the lack of heat and sun might be a good thing for my stomach. It'll be more of a hike then run, so a different experience.

I've been relying on it for about 5 years now never had an issue.. Which meant as soon as it started making me sick I was kind of buggered.

Thanks, I will. It's been a first for me to not even be able to stomach water. So I will need to sort it out before I do anything longer then. 50miles.

Thanks, it was kind of my own fault for not packing ginger sweets as a back up plan. I have not had gut issues before. It was also very easy to sack it on as I was 5 miles from home!

It was actually pretty perfect conditions not massively hot and some cloud cover. I'm gonna go back to active root again I think, the ginger definitely helped. It's annoying as everything was working well, I just couldn't get any food or drink down even though I was thirsty and hungry.

Just bought it after finally having enough of balders gate 3. Or more truthfully getting completely overwhelmed by act 3! Looking forward to some mindless fighting

We were nearly mowed down last year during sdw100 volunteering so it was requested for it to be moved to for safety. Coffee van was well used today for our family walk alongt her river. Great bacon sandwiches.

You'll have to go out of your way to get lost on the SDW, with the course marking and national trail signs it's very easy to follow! Good luck, maybe see you along the course!

Compared to the last clock change, where my kids wake-up time went from 4.30am back to 3.30am this one was a breeze.

That used to my method back when money wasn't as tight. Need to start doing that again, or at least buy shoes if they are on offer even if I'm not in dire need.
March 24, 2025 at 12:25 PM
That's my normal routine, but I can currently see my heel through the bottom of my shoes so I think they could potentially need replacing...
March 24, 2025 at 8:57 AM
That's roughly what I can get out of my brooks glycerin now, which I guess makes the investment worthwhile but it's still mad that they RRP at £150
March 23, 2025 at 7:39 PM
Good shout, they used to be my go to road shoes to complement the Olympus on trails. But my heel striking pretty much wears through them within 200miles.
March 23, 2025 at 7:28 PM
As I'm mostly road running ATM I've been able to not replace my trail shoes. But I know they need replacing before SDW00 in June. So I'm spending way too often checking for deals! Nothing is really comparing to the old half price deals I used to get.

Same, I must just be looking at replacing my shoes at the wrong time of year. The only place I pay RRP is decathlon.
