Diorama I made our friends in Springfield, MO. There's a special Walmart rock that apparently several cars ran into and high-centered on. People left the rock get well soon gifts.

Made some almond date cookies to go with my tea today. Literally just blended up almonds and dates. Pistachio and dates is also good.

The rain in the trees looked beautiful yesterday... until our yard started flooding. Good thing we found the clog in the creek and dug it out. This all happened in less than 5 minutes.

Cherry almond scones! <3 The cherries are from my CSA. I used a sourdough recipe for this because I wanted to use up some starter, but I'm not so sure the sourdough starter does anything? Sourdough recipes are more nutritious and easier to digest, supposedly.

Tiger beetle - the fastest insect on land. This baby can go 0-60 in 3 seconds, cruising 120-170 body lengths per second. It goes so fast that it can't see where it's going once it starts. Not the insect you want to ride on in a Honey I Shrunk the Kids situation without a seatbelt and neck support.

Sourdough pizza (soon-to-be) crusts and English muffins! I already ate the leftover dough muffin with some green fig jam, and it was delicious! 😋

I always keep my bags, wash them out, and hang them on the side of the fridge with magnet chips to dry. That way, they're ready for next week's share!

Played La Fleur today, outside on the patio near my real flower garden.
I considered marrying my Antoine off to this Louis-Henri fellow, but he thought we didn't have enough roses in our garden. Ended up marrying Mathieu instead because he appreciates a good fountain.

Lime Slush: 1/2c lime juice, 1/2 c boiling water, 1/4 c sugar, and 2c ice cubes blended all together. Makes 2 short glasses or 1.5 tall. Depends if you wanna share.

Five years in, my false indigo is blooming for the first time! I think it looks quite lovely paired with the milkshake peony.

First sourdough bread! <3 Good sour flavor, slightly dense. I think I need to allow the starter to wake up more (came as a packet of dehydrated crumbs).
