The Waterlogue 2 release is delayed because I'm converting it to freemium. All current users will get the base upgrade for free, with an IAP for new styles and future features. Freemium users will get a few styles, with watermarks on the locked features.

Went to Windup Watch Fair yesterday. The line to get in circled an entire NYC midtown block.

Most amazing sight: I saw someone steal a watch from a vendor's table.

I normally do this type of visualization with 3d rendering, but Illustrator is pretty capable too. This watch case back is just three layers, with gradients and inner shadow effects on the notches.

I made a tiny pancake and it turned out pretty well.

It’s my understanding that lower-quality glass has greater chromatic aberration?

If your privacy policy is a 20-page booklet, you don't need to read it to know it's not going to be good.

This spam message arrived last Sunday, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about beef Stroganoff.

But I finally figured out the right way to construct my models. It's completely parametric and I can go back and adjust any of the sub-parts.

I've been trying to model complex geometry like this for a while, with booleans, chamfering, surface continuity, etc., but Cinema 4D isn't a CSG (solids CAD) program and the polygon operations always make a mess.

I still have the lovely keepsake from the afternoon I spent searching for nail clippers in downtown Halifax in February, 2015.

I've been making progress in clearing out my dad's shop (our garage). Two truck loads of scrap metal/machines hauled. Separating the New Old Stock and valuable hand tools from junk. Bags of golf balls. A box of .22 shells (for a literal nail gun.) And cans of stuff for hazardous waste day.

Some more Afters.

I have some new styles that feel a little more light and colorful. Before → After.

I figured out how to clean up smudgy areas in Waterlogue. This should fix an issue that's bothered me for a long time.
