Working on the new rifle power up for today's #NightmareKart dev thread!
This will be the rifle used during the train level. Normally, special 'infinite use' power ups used for story levels run off of aether vials, but that disincentivizes boosting so I'm making this power up drain health instead:

I think about this all the time because it became so obvious when people would talk about Evangelion and not understand it, or compare other things to Eva. Anno is so clearly *obsessed* with Mecha, Gundam and Ultraman. To ignore that love is to not understand what deconstruction even means.
