There are too many great books to be read; don’t waste your time on books you don’t enjoy!
It's super frustrating to have a book become available on @libbyapp.com only to learn that it's not available to send to Kindle.

And then extra frustrating to learn that the publisher is actually selling the ebook DRM-free, so the DRM restrictions are coming from Libby.

These 8 Senators sold us out to Trump:
Hassan
King
Cortez-Masto
Shaheen
Kaine
Fetterman
Durbin
Rosen

Understand This Fact: Chuck Schumer is behind this. None of these 8 are up for reelection in 2026. Schumer asked them vote yes—they agreed. He's such a coward that he folded and won't even own it.

Whenever some sanctimonious Dem announces that America needs a functioning Republican Party, I always think “I’d settle for a functioning Democratic Party.”

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

I finished the Indigo 2025 reading challenge last night, so now it’s on to my ridiculously long TBR list to finish out the year. #BookSky

Thank you, Joe, for reminding people that Dwight Evans deserves to be in the Hall of Fame!

This ought to be very interesting...

If you ignore Bonds, Clemens and Sheffield, I can see Jeff Kent getting in. The other four are way down the list of all-time WAR leaders. (And, yes, I know that's not the only way to judge a player's career.)
The Contemporary Baseball Era player ballot features eight candidates for consideration in the Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Results will be announced at 7:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 7: ow.ly/Agwx50XlQRH

Baseball season is over, so that means two things:

1. time to watch lots of ice hockey
2. the countdown to the Winter Olympics is on!

@joeposnanski.com I know you and @kentremendous.bsky.social haven’t had a guest on the PosCast since the 1983 George Brett pine tar incident, but I would love to hear @lindaholmes.bsky.social‘s take on the Dodgers/ World Series. If not a dedicated episode, perhaps briefly during the holiday draft?

I know this is the longest of long shots, but is there anyone on here who works for FedEx that could help me figure out why FedEx presumably can’t/won’t deliver to my address? Three deliveries since moving into a new construction house (so, new address) a they’ve failed to deliver each of them.

Nothing like a game-ending TOOTBLAN to send the World Series to game 7.

Say it louder for the people listening to videos in public without wearing headphones!
I'm just a girl. Standing in a 7-11. Begging you to wear headphones if you're going to watch a video in a public, indoor space.

Any ideas, @henrytcasey.net ?
If you were taking 12 relatively introverted but very cool people out in Manhattan for a fun activity on a November weeknight, what would you do? We’ve done escape rooms, Spin, a few other things. They will murder me for karaoke, axe throwing, bowling. Halp?

@lindaholmes.bsky.social will PCHH be discussing the new Apple TV+ show “Down Cemetery Road”? I think it comes out this week.
