Came here as an alternative to FB. Puns are the way out of our continuous acrimony.
Sarah, this year both the Jays and Dodgers only won one game at home in WS. How often has that happened?

My favourites aren't always songs:
Dancing Broom music from Sorcerer's Apprentice
Music when the Rescuers get out of town via albatross
Music when Prince Charming fights to rescue Sleeping Beauty
Heigh Ho from Snow White
Bella Notte from the spaghetti kiss in Lady and the Tramp

And you didn't even know about the other stuff. When Bauer showed up I was impressed with the pitching but he seemed overly amped up. Then the news hit and, well, it's not like things fell into place, more like, with all that fierce energy comes other stuff. Living on the edge et al.

Full disclosure, on the rare occasions when I want to listen to classical I'm a Beethoven V / IX or Tchaikovsky 1812 guy. But my brother is an organist and he's played quite a bit of Bach on big pipe organs and it can really rip.

Something's missing here but I can't quite formulate it. I guess I'll have to get Bach to you.

It's a good comparison, especially if you look at how pipelines are essentially forced to offer transport to the competition. If you look at the data as oil, and the handling/ transmission as a pipeline, you can practically cut and paste the regulation.

Autocorrect keeps replacing pun with pin.
November 18, 2025 at 7:26 AM
Ugh traction pin, not pin. I'm really losing my grip.
November 18, 2025 at 7:25 AM
Trying to come up with a traction pin but it keeps slipping away from me.

If they painted it blue and left a big white G on it they'd have free advertising.

They had Snell's number until Game 7. Even then got 2 on against him in the 9th.

Same for our cats. We had to find domestic. Which the cats really like, but is more expensive.

How big is that dog?
November 15, 2025 at 4:42 AM
True, but they also thought adding lead to gasoline was a great way to stop the engines from knocking. So there's that.

Y'all beat me to it.

Cal had a great year for sure. Judge may be a d****d Yankee, but when he's at the plate people hold their breath.
a baseball game is being broadcast on fox world series lad leads 3-1
Alt: Humorous replay of Aaron Judge dropping the fly ball in Game 5 of the 2024 World Series, only instead of the baseball he's dropping the Commissioners Trophy

Corey won World Series MVP in both leagues for sure. Slangs meant the MVP of the entire league for the regular season. I do miss Seager, but I wouldn't trade him for Shohei.

Which is probably why Murphy is NL Manager of the Year.

Books are great but the movies lack oomph.
November 12, 2025 at 7:47 AM
If Connery had done that one it would be the hands down best. Every other aspect was great for the times.

Nah. Mets fans, Rockies fans, As fans all have their own home grown reasons. Seattle fans are in therapy because of the Jays. Astros fans are in therapy because of the Mariners. It's a big circle of loathing.

Isn't most wondering off course by definition? On course wondering wouldn't be that wonderful, just plain old thought.
November 12, 2025 at 7:02 AM
Pretty sure Jays fans are talking to their therapists about the World Series.

Jim, Jim, listen to your wife. Those guys are going to be given gold jerseys for opening day. It's a uniform. They don't need you to buy one for them.

Rick Tocchet on skates behind the bench would be peak Flyers.
