Timeline cleanse: look at these carrots!

The novelty still hasn't worn off that you can put seeds in the ground, wait a while, then go outside with a headlamp in November and pull food out of the ground.

This issue of Jr. Jays Magazine from 1994 might have been what taught me about the concept of ancestry and the continuity from historical to contemporary Indigenous people.

Friends who I vaguely understood to be Indigenous had been wholly unrelated in my mind to the stereotypes in picture books.

Today I googled how to use the camera on my phone. Should have done that three years ago. Looking forward to learning more.

Two months ago this was a parking pad. Feeling very lucky.

I've been seeing these "how can we serve you?" posters in the neighborhood and just got a flyer offering free yard work etc.

Their ads don't say it, but 10 seconds of googling reveals these are coming from Gateway Church 🧵

A fascinating snippet from the report. The WPS genuinely doesn't consider officer actions as a factor in use of force stats. Use of force is strictly an inevitable response to violence on the streets.

I'm just being a hater now, but the weather network may have one of the most poorly designed and least accessible websites on the internet.

We're referring to vehicles as "they" now? Carbrain is real.

Feels like a bit of a disingenuous headline, no?

This was my favourite query from a few years ago, even before the AI hype.

"I don't care about fascism, as long as it doesn't affect me" is the same logic as "I don't care about road safety, as long as I'm safe."

These people are deeply self-involved.

The idea that freeways reduce greenhouse gasses is ridiculous and needs to die.

Wait CBC and the Freep both covered this cop's side hustle within days of each other? Are there literally no other local businesses to profile?

Long run, risotto, and a looming sense of dread. Classic winter Sunday.

I was recently at an event where a discussion was whether everyone was able to find parking. Most drivers hadn't considered paying to be in a lot and just wanted the cheaper street parking. We've never had a shortage of parking in this city, just an entitlement for cheap or free car storage.
