New illumination / fog / lighting experiments for Timothy and the Mysterious Forest DX
A top-down screenshot of a videogame, showcasing a village with many old houses and ruined columns. An old bridge connects the two sides of the town as a shallow, rocky creek flows below from the ancient tunnel in the north. An abandoned, decrepit house is almost engulfed by the Mysterious Forest edge. A few characters are seen thorughout the streets: an old woman is taking her dog on a stroll, and the muscular innkeeper is guarding the entrance to his tavern. A few hens are pecking seeds in a courtyard and a huge cat is sleeping on the rooftop surrounded by small mice. A top-down screenshot of the very same village from before, this time during the night. An eerie fog coming from the Mysterious Forest engulfs the western half of the Village. Many creepy eyes can be seen emerging from the darkness of the trees and the ruined house. A giant bat-like creature is roosting on a rooftop, its gaze directed to the little Timothy, running away from the abandoned house as angered lesser bats follow him. Just by the river's tunnel in the north, a mysterious giant fish is waiting in the mist. By the rear entrance of the inn, a cloaked figure awaits.

The lovely guys at Kibou Entertainment are releasing their previous, unrelenting platformer on Nintendo Switch: Timothy and the Tower of Mu.
I helped with a few tiles and colors back then, and as you know we are remaking the very first instalment of the series: @timothyforestdx.bsky.social
