Delighted to announce that I'm awarded an @nronl.bsky.social Comenius Leadership Fellow grant to work on co-creation of interactive open textbooks as an educational tool. Excited to explore this with and for our students in the coming years. See edu.nl/w78qp for a description of the project.

Likewise, I had the privilege of interacting with Hans van Leeuwen on a daily basis during my PhD years at the instituut Lorentz. I fondly remember his warmth, his passion for science and his deep knowledge of statistical physics, which he generously shared with us all.
Hans van Leeuwen was already 71 when I joined the Instituut-Lorentz in 2003 but he was still a central figure in the institute. I have fond memories of our collaborations during my first year there, and of the many coffee breaks after. He will be missed. ⚛️ www.lorentz.leidenuniv.nl/research/van...
