www.repaircafe.org/en/ has lots of information on where groups are, and how to set them up. There are lots of local groups who may not be on here. As much as I try to avoid Facebook, many groups use it to be heard more locally.

Stringing the bow on a train, with people running past you, would take too much time, but an unstrung 90# longbow is a robust 7' long stick, which could keep someone at bay. However, the sheaf of 3' long, 3/8" shafted pointy things you may also be carrying might get you in trouble.
